Where do you feel most at home?
In bed. I really really love my bed. I’m not a great sleeper - I never have been - and yet just to lay there and read or do a crossword is heaven to me. Probably because with a toddler it’s such a rare occurrence these days.

How did you come to the career you’re in now?
I worked in magazines for a little over decade on both SHOP Til You Drop and Cosmopolitan. I then crossed over into digital at The Huffington Post and now I’m the Executive Editor of Mamamia. I studied interiors and never planned for a career in media but life has a funny way of taking its own course.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
None, really. It all works out in the end and I don't think I’d be in the content place I am now unless I’d made the mistakes and learned the lessons I did in my younger years.
What is a product you just can’t live without?
My Apple Watch. A strange item to pick I know, but as a mum to a toddler it means I can put my phone away and still get important notification to my wrist. I’ve programmed it so certain people can still call or text but anything else can wait. It’s very freeing.
How do you relax?
I am terrible at relaxing. I don't enjoy it. I do love a bath though - I have one every evening to separate the day from the night. It may only be for 10 minutes but it helps switch my brain out of work mode and gives me a little time to decompress.
Do you have a signature scent?
Nope. Because of my line of work (I write and talk about beauty products on my podcast, You Beauty) I have more of a fragrance wardrobe than one particular favourite. I pick and choose what to wear based on mood, outfit and season.
What is your favourite thing to do to give back to the world/pay it forward?
Anything to do with animals gets me motivated. I was vegetarian for four years (pregnancy derailed that) and we rescued our two cats, Monster and Cookie, from Sydney Dogs and Cats Home. My monthly donations are also all animal-related. We’ve made a bit of a mess of their planet so it’s the least I could do.
